President Muhammadu Buhari is billed to meet with Governors on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday to discuss the way forward on the party’s National Convention.

Buhari last week called off an earlier scheduled meeting with the Governors just before he flew out for the just concluded EU-Africa Summit in Brussels, the capital of Belgium.

The botched meeting last Tuesday, it was gathered, was meant to be where the President would have rubbed minds with the Governors on deciding the next National Chairman as well as decide the zoning of the other party positions.

However, a reliable source in the Presidency on Sunday evening said the next meeting date between the President and the Governors had been scheduled for Tuesday, four days from the proposed National Convention.

There had been feelers that the meeting might be holding Sunday evening but the source, who did not want to be named, said “the meeting is holding on Tuesday. That’s the plan for now”.
