Celebrating 50 Years Of Ondo: APC Leader Speaks

According to Ireporter Online, Dr. Akinola Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa, a senior All Progressives Congress (APC) leader in Ondo State, has extended congratulations to the government and citizens as the state commemorates its 50th anniversary.

In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, Dr. Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa paid tribute to the state’s founding fathers, acknowledging their visionary efforts in laying the groundwork for economic growth, infrastructure development, and social progress. He highlighted the impressive milestones achieved since the state’s creation in 1976, spanning both military and democratic eras, with notable progress from 1999 to the present.

“From its inception to the current democratic era, Ondo State has made tremendous strides in physical and human development, achievements that inspire pride and gratitude among its people,” he said.

Dr. Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa cited key accomplishments, including the construction of roads connecting communities, the establishment of essential social infrastructure, and the preservation of unity amid the state’s diverse population.

He further emphasized the collective contributions of all citizens in shaping Ondo State’s progress, congratulating men and women, young and old, from both urban and rural areas for their role in the state’s achievements.
