Not A Miracle!” – Doctor Reacts To Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Viral Healing Video
According to Ireporter Online, a Nigerian medical doctor, Dr. Sina, has questioned the authenticity of a viral video showing Pastor Chris Oyakhilome allegedly performing a miracle, saying that, based on medical facts, the incident does not qualify as a true miracle.
The video, which circulated widely online, shows Pastor Oyakhilome appearing to heal several individuals reportedly unable to walk, sparking debate among viewers.
In an analysis shared online, Dr. Sina explained that he closely examined the footage, slowing it down to observe the movements of those described as crippled. He noted that several physical and neurological indicators typical of long-term paralysis or non-functional legs were absent.
According to Dr. Sina, paralyzed limbs often display abnormal angles, rotations, or muscle wasting due to disuse, none of which were visible in the video. He also highlighted moments when some individuals moved their legs freely, including crossing them, which would be impossible for someone truly paralyzed.
The doctor added that even if an instantaneous healing were possible, the brain would still require time to relearn movement, balance, and coordination. The immediate, spontaneous jumping seen in the video, he argued, contradicts how neurological recovery typically occurs.
Dr. Sina emphasized that he personally believes in miracles as a Christian but maintained that, from a medical perspective, the video did not provide sufficient evidence of a genuine miracle. He encouraged viewers to review the footage themselves and consult medical professionals for further evaluation.
“I took a look at this Pastor Chris’ video and as a medic I slowed it down and examined it critically. I zoomed in on the legs of the so-called ‘crippled’ and here is what I’d say,” Dr. Sina wrote. He detailed his observations, pointing out the absence of typical signs of paralysis and the unusual spontaneity of movements.
He concluded, “Do miracles exist? As a Christian, yes. But is this a miracle? Looking at medical facts evidenced, I don’t believe it is a miracle. You can fact-check yourself.”
