The semi-final pairings for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup have been finalised following the conclusion of the quarter-final encounters on Saturday night.

Real Madrid became the last team to secure a spot in the last four after a pulsating 3-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund. The Spanish champions took control in the first half with goals from Gonzalo Garcia and Fran Garcia. Dortmund pulled one back in extra time through Maximilian Beier’s precise finish past Thibaut Courtois. Kylian Mbappe then restored Madrid’s cushion with a third, before Dean Huijsen was sent off for a last-man foul. Serhou Guirassy converted the resulting penalty, setting up a tense finale.

Los Blancos will now face Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals. Earlier, PSG defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 despite ending the game with nine men.

On the other side of the bracket, Chelsea edged Palmeiras 2-1 to advance, setting up a clash with Fluminense, who dispatched Al-Hilal to reach the semi-finals.
