Coalition Wey No Get Level Dem Dey Beat Around The Bush: Tinubu’s Momentum Unstoppable

When I first heard Magnito’s freestyle — “Person wey no get money dey beat around the bush yea them dey beat…” — it struck me as more than music. It was reality wrapped in melody. The idea is simple: a man without means cannot go straight to the point; he is condemned to circles, excuses, and noise. In Nigeria today, that is exactly the picture of this so-called coalition parading themselves as a “force” against President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Imagine a cripple mocking someone’s designer shoes. That’s the irony we face — politicians who have lost both relevance and credibility now laughing at a leader who not only has both legs in the game but is sprinting with results.

A Coalition of Shadows

The political relevance of figures such as Rotimi Amaechi, Babachir Lawal, Isa Pantami, Nasir El-Rufai, Abubakar Malami, and Lauretta Onochie significantly diminished following Late  President Buhari’s departure from office. These individuals now operate without substantial influence, grassroots support, or viable political structures. Aligning themselves with the likes of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi only compounds their challenges, forming what appears to be a fragmented and uninspired coalition of former power brokers. Rather than presenting a coherent strategy, they lean heavily on propaganda; instead of mobilizing grassroots support, they amplify noise. Unsurprisingly, their efforts appear unfocused and ineffective.

The Bye-Election Reality Check

The recent bye-elections across the federation exposed them brutally. APC didn’t just hold ground — it expanded into opposition territories. From Kano to Adamawa, APC made inroads, while this so-called coalition failed woefully, scoring zero recognition. PDP, battered but still breathing, managed to hold on to its few governorship enclaves. NNPP retained its small corner. But Labour Party? It has dissolved into APC in practical terms, with lawmakers and structures aligning with the ruling party nationwide.

That’s the reality: APC is strengthening; the “coalition” is shrinking.

The Tinubu Difference

Now contrast that with President Tinubu. His policies are no longer just promises; they’re proofs. From infrastructure renewal to road expansions, from economic rebound to naira stabilization, from renewed investor confidence to tangible reforms — the signs are everywhere. Nigeria is on the path of transformation, and the momentum is unstoppable.

While the coalition drifts like a broke man in Lekki trying to woo a lady without transport fare, Tinubu is consolidating power, policy, and popularity. The people can see the difference: one side delivers; the other side beats around the bush.

Coalitions built on bitterness, propaganda, and expired loyalties cannot stand against a movement driven by results, reforms, and reality. As Magnito rightly put it: “Person wey no get money dey beat around the bush…” — and in Nigeria’s political theatre today, that describes the opposition perfectly.

Tinubu’s momentum is not just intact; it is unstoppable.
