Cyber Attack Risks: CJN Urges Judges To Strengthen Digital Defenses Amid Rising Threats

Speaking at the opening of the 2025 National Workshop on Information and Communication Technology in Abuja, the CJN highlighted the vulnerability of judicial systems, which handle sensitive case files and government data, making them prime targets for cyber attacks.
She emphasized the need for a robust cybersecurity framework to safeguard judicial records and prevent unauthorized access or corruption. Additionally, the CJN encouraged judicial staff to undergo training in cybersecurity practices and secure data management.
The National Judicial Council was praised for its proactive measures, including the Judiciary Information Technology Policy, which aims to streamline ICT use in courts.
