Davido Says He Still Receives Financial Support From His Father

According to Ireporter Online, Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that his billionaire father continues to support his children financially despite their individual success and global fame.

The award-winning singer made the disclosure during a recent interview where he spoke about his relationship with his father, Dr Adedeji Adeleke. He explained that his father remains generous to his children and often rewards them financially when he is pleased with their achievements.

Davido stated, “I’d be lying to you if I told you that my dad still doesn’t give his kids money.”

The singer further recalled a moment after one of his arena performances, noting that his father attended the show, commended his performance, and later sent him a substantial gift. “I remember after my arena show, which he attended, he called me and congratulated me, saying it was a good show, and then he wired me $300,000,” he said.

Despite being born into wealth, Davido, popularly known as O.B.O., emphasized that he has consistently worked to build his own identity and success in the music industry.
