Deadly Clash In Nasarawa As Police and Soldiers Collide After Abia Gunmen Assault

In a statement, Abia State Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa, confirmed the attack: “The assailants arrived in three Hilux vehicles shortly after midnight, opening fire on our facility. Our personnel repelled the attackers; however, they managed to damage the roof with dynamite and tragically killed a female suspect during an attempted breakout.”

Following the assault, police arrested one suspect, now under interrogation to identify other accomplices. Reports indicate that the female detainee killed had been held in connection with a child trafficking case.

In another security development, a confrontation between police and soldiers in Nasarawa left two dead, stemming from an investigation into a motorcycle theft. According to DSP Ramhan Nansel, the altercation at Agyaragu Market escalated when a soldier on leave allegedly interfered with the police, injuring an officer and leading to a tragic clash.
