Diamonds In Your Backyards: Why Dennis Idahosa Should Be Reelected As A House Member

Read this short story by eminent Philadelphian Russell H. Conwell, and pay attention to the lessons it teaches.

Al Hafed was the owner of a large farm that included orchards, grain fields, and gardens. So one day, a Buddhist priest came by and explained how the world was created to Al Hafed. He mentioned how God created the diamond as the most precious stone.

He claimed that with a handful of diamonds, he could buy an entire country and that with a mine of diamonds, he could place his children on thrones through the power of their wealth.

After much deliberation, Al Hafed decided to go after the diamonds. The priest told him that if he discovered a river that runs through white sands between mountains, he would always find diamonds in those sands.

Al Hafed sold his farm, entrusted his family to a neighbour, and set out to find diamonds. He travelled through many countries in search of precious gems, but he was unsuccessful.

When he had spent all of his money and was reduced to rags, wretchedness, and poverty, he stood on the shore of a bay in Barcelona, Spain, and threw himself into the incoming tide.

During his absence, the man who bought his farm discovered diamonds in a stream that ran through Al Hafed’s backyard. The area became known as the Golconda diamond mines, the most magnificent diamond mine in human history.

The moral of the story is that if Al Hafed had stayed at home and searched for diamonds on his own property, he would have discovered acres upon acres of diamonds. Every shovelful of that particular old farm was said to reveal precious gems that have since adorned the crowns of monarchs.

Dennis has tapped into all of the “acres of diamonds” in Ovia Federal Constituency, providing mass employment to constituents through various means such as direct facilitation of jobs in federal agencies and the establishment of skills acquisition centers throughout the constituency where constituents are trained on various vocations.

Dennis has left a legacy in the educational sector by initiating and completing over 27 school projects. He has constructed multiple town halls to facilitate communication with constituents, as well as commendable agricultural schemes that have put farmers in an enviable position by increasing yields and providing roads to help them reach their target markets.

The youthful lawmaker has demonstrated that diamonds exist right in front of every Ovia citizen’s eyes. Dennis has demonstrated through his worthy stewardship that diamonds can be found throughout his constituent .

Wherever we live, there are opportunities for us to seize, but it will take initiative on our part, as well as courage, tenacity, and faith on the part of a deserving representative, to make those opportunities a reality.

Dennis Idahosa is indeed qualified to serve the people of Ovia Federal Constituency, and it would be prudent for Ovia constituents not to change a winning candidate due to partisanship.

With Dennis Idahosa, Ovia is still in safe hands.
