Reports from Bureau De Change (BDC) operators in Lagos indicate that the dollar was exchanged at ₦1,400 for selling and ₦1,390 for buying in the black market, also known as the Aboki FX market.

In contrast, official CBN figures showed a lower exchange band for the dollar, with rates ranging between ₦1,340 and ₦1,348. The disparity between the official and parallel market rates continues to reflect persistent pressure on Nigeria’s foreign exchange system, with traders and businesses often relying on the black market for faster access to forex.
