Don Jazzy Sets The Record Straight On UK Car Accident, Denies Fleeing Police

Music executive Don Jazzy has addressed allegations surrounding a police case from his early career in the United Kingdom, denying claims that he fled the scene of a car accident.

His former associate, Bankulli, had alleged that Don Jazzy removed the vehicle’s license plate and abandoned the car to evade law enforcement, a story Bankulli claimed as a reason for excluding Don Jazzy from an Afrobeats documentary.

According to Bankulli, Don Jazzy had an accident while returning from a show in London, fell asleep at the wheel, and crashed his car. Bankulli claimed, “He left the car, removed the plate number, and ran away. The cost to retrieve the car was higher than its value, so he abandoned it.”

Reacting to these claims, some social media users expressed concern that the incident could be revisited by UK authorities if Don Jazzy traveled there, given the public attention the story had received.

However, Don Jazzy refuted the allegations, explaining that he had waited for the police at the scene, passed a breathalyser test, and left the car impounded because retrieving it would have cost more than the car’s value. He clarified on social media, “Lol no panic. It’s been so long, so he doesn’t remember the story exactly. I actually waited for the police. They came and gave me a breathalyser to determine if I was drunk. I wasn’t, but the car was impounded. The fine to collect the car back was more than the cheap car, so I left it with them lol.”
