Edo State Poised For Transformation As Minister Abubakar Momoh Attends APC National Campaign Inauguration In Benin City
In a significant show of commitment to Edo State’s development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, the Minister of Niger Delta Development, attended the grand inauguration of the APC National Campaign Council for the Edo 2024 campaign elections held in Benin City. The event marked a pivotal moment for the party, signaling a renewed focus on the state’s reconstruction and progress.
The inauguration attracted a distinguished lineup of the party’s top leadership, including APC National Chairman Dr. Umar Ganduje, who represented President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The event also saw the presence of the governors of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and Cross River State, Bassey Edet Otu, showcasing the widespread support and unity within the party.
Party leaders, including Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, General Cecil Esekhaigbe, His Excellency Lucky Imasuen, Chief Ayiri Emami, and Emperor Jarret Tenebe, the state party chairman, among others, further highlighted the event’s importance and the unified stance of the party.
One of the most notable moments of the ceremony was the return of Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu to the APC fold, leading thousands of legacy members from the PDP. This move represents a significant consolidation of political strength and unity within the party as it gears up for the upcoming elections.
Engr. Abubakar Momoh, in his remarks to reporters, expressed his optimism about the future of Edo State under the leadership of the APC’s candidates, Monday Okpebholo and Dennis Idahosa. “Their candidacies will bring the required positive changes the state desperately craves,” Momoh stated, highlighting the party’s vision for a prosperous and progressive Edo State.
