According to media reports, the tour, tagged “Speed Does Africa,” commenced on December 29, 2025, and saw the content creator travel across 20 African countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, and Egypt. The month-long tour concluded on January 27, 2026, drawing significant global attention and engagement across digital platforms.

Speaking on the development, Seun Kuti alleged that the tour may have been sponsored by tech billionaire Elon Musk, suggesting that the initiative could have been linked to testing the reach of satellite technology across Africa. He further claimed that the project had underlying motives, describing it as part of a broader agenda, although no official confirmation has been provided to substantiate these assertions.

The singer also disclosed that promoters and individuals close to the streamer reached out to him during IShowSpeed’s visit to Nigeria, indicating some level of local engagement during the tour.
