According to Ireporter Online, disc jockey Kudirat Gbemisola, popularly known as DJ Kulet, has recounted how she transitioned from a troubled past involving prostitution and homelessness to a transformed life she attributes to her faith in Christ.

She made the disclosure during a testimony session at a church service on Sunday, where she openly shared her life experiences and personal journey of change. DJ Kulet stated that her former lifestyle in Surulere, particularly around the Lawanson axis of Lagos State, was widely known, adding that she went through a turbulent phase marked by hardship and instability.

In a post shared on Instagram on Monday, she described her life trajectory as moving “from a mess to a message,” explaining that she once lived on the streets of Lagos, experienced homelessness, and engaged in prostitution. She further narrated how her living conditions gradually changed over time, beginning with temporary accommodation provided by benefactors before she was able to afford better housing through her work as a disc jockey.

She also recounted a period in which she lived in a building without a functional toilet facility for about two years due to incomplete construction by the landlord, which forced her to rely on external facilities. According to her, her situation later improved, eventually enabling her to move into more comfortable apartments and later a four-bedroom en-suite residence.

DJ Kulet further disclosed that she purchased a house in Surulere in April 2024, stating that the acquisition was fully funded without involvement in her past lifestyle, but through earnings from her DJ career. She described the development as a divine turnaround, noting that she now sees her story as a testimony of transformation.
