Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano announced on Friday via X that the contract is anticipated to be signed today, marking a crucial move in the club’s restructuring plans.

A verbal agreement on the contract terms has already been established, with attention now turning to the negotiation of Jurić’s departure from his current position at AS Roma.

Jurić has reportedly accepted the role with the Saints, although he will not be accompanied by assistant coach Rohl, as was initially rumored.

Romano stated, “Southampton have reached an agreement to hire Ivan Jurić as the new head coach to replace Russell Martin. The contract is expected to be signed today. Verbal agreement in place on contract terms, and they are currently working on exit arrangements from AS Roma. Ivan Jurić has confirmed his acceptance to join Saints FC, and Röhl will not be coming along.
