According to Ireporter Online, Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has released two separate squads for Nigeria’s upcoming Unity Cup mini-tournament in London as well as a series of high-profile international friendlies scheduled to take place across Europe next month.

For the Unity Cup, Chelle included key figures such as captain Wilfred Ndidi, goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, defenders Bruno Onyemaechi and Igoh Ogbu, alongside forwards Moses Simon, Akor Adams, and Terem Moffi as Nigeria aim to defend their title.

The tournament is billed to hold at Charlton Athletic Stadium from 26 to 30 May, with Nigeria set to face Zimbabwe in the semi-final on 26 May. A win would see the Super Eagles advance to the final against either Jamaica or India, who meet in the other semi-final.

The squad also features several fresh faces, as Chelle handed maiden call-ups to goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, defenders Emmanuel Fernandez, midfielders Raphael Onyedika, Tochukwu Nnadi, and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, as well as striker Rafiu Durosinmi. Home-based players including Michael Atata, Aderemi Adeoye, Ayobami Junior, and Tosin Oyedokun were also included.

Attention will later shift to Europe, where Nigeria will take on Poland at the PGE Narodowy Stadium on 3 June before travelling to Leiria to face Portugal at the Estádio Dr Magalhães Pessoa on 10 June.

The European friendlies squad is headlined by Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Paul Onuachu, alongside Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, and Frank Onyeka, as the team continues preparations for upcoming international competitions.

Nigeria have already been grouped with Madagascar, Tanzania, and Guinea-Bissau in the qualifiers for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations, making the June fixtures an important part of their buildup.

Full squad lists for both the Unity Cup and the European friendlies include a mix of experienced internationals and emerging talents as Chelle continues to shape his team.
