Exclusive: Kuwait Pledges To Educate 200,000 Out-Of-School Children In Kaduna

The Kuwaiti government has committed to helping 200,000 out-of-school children in Kaduna through the Reaching Out-of-School Children initiative. The initiative, funded by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, in collaboration with UNICEF, aims to provide access to quality primary education, particularly for children with disabilities, girls, and adolescents in Kaduna. Almuzayen also highlighted the long-standing bilateral relations between Kuwait and Nigeria, tracing back to the establishment of the Al-Sabah School in Kaduna in the 1960s.

Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Senior Councillor, Adeolu Okenla, praised Kuwait for its significant contributions to peace and development in the region, including its free education policy, which has raised the country’s adult literacy rate to 96.46%.
