Fayose Drops Bombshell: Why Peter Obi Can Never Be Nigeria’s President

According to Ireporter Online, Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, has claimed that former Anambra State governor Peter Obi has no realistic chance of becoming Nigeria’s president.

In a post on , Fayose expressed his disappointment with the current state of democracy in the country, describing the opposition as ineffective and powerless. He criticized the Senate’s rejection of electoral reforms, noting that even initiatives introduced during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration have been discarded.

Fayose stated, “ADC is dead on arrival. Peter Obi can never be president. Nobody can be president again unless they select you. Electoral reform is gone. Even the initiatives that Jonathan started have been thrown into the dustbin. No more BVAS.”

He described the political situation as both a personal and national tragedy, adding, “This is the saddest day of my life. Our generation were unable to change this. We lost the country.”

Beyond politics, Fayose lamented the deterioration of public services, highlighting failures in healthcare, policing, and customs, which he attributed to political leaders. He urged Nigerians to acknowledge the current political reality, stating, “We lost it. We lost Nigeria. Nigeria is gone. Just fighting is just stressing yourself at this juncture.”
