FRSC Orders Prosecution Of TikTok Star Peller Over Viral Car Crash

The incident, which occurred on Sunday afternoon, reportedly followed a personal disagreement between the content creator and his girlfriend, Jarvis, who is also active in the digital entertainment space. A video of the crash later surfaced online, sparking intense public reactions and drawing criticism from Nigerians who called for strict sanctions, including the possible withdrawal of his driver’s licence.

In response to the growing outrage, the FRSC issued a statement on Monday, December 15, 2025, through its official social media platforms. The road safety agency disclosed that its Lagos State Command had been instructed to commence legal proceedings against the influencer over the incident.

The Corps Marshal, Shehu Muhammed, also seized the moment to address stakeholders within the entertainment and creative industries. He urged professional bodies such as the Actors Guild of Nigeria, content creators’ associations, and other related groups to provide proper guidance to their members and actively discourage dangerous behaviour on public roads.

The FRSC stated that the Lagos command has been mandated to charge Peller with offences including reckless driving, using a mobile phone while driving, and failure to maintain full attention on the road, in accordance with existing traffic laws.

The agency further emphasized that fame or public visibility does not confer immunity from the law, stressing that no individual is justified in engaging in actions that endanger lives on Nigerian roads.
