According to Ireporter Online, billionaire’s daughter Temi Otedola and her husband, popular singer Mr Eazi, have explained the reasons they chose not to hold their court wedding in Nigeria, citing intense pressure, disagreements, and concerns over privacy.

Speaking during a podcast session, the couple revealed that they organised three different wedding ceremonies across three countries within a period of three months, a process they described as exhausting and far more demanding than anticipated. With events scheduled back-to-back, the planning became overwhelming and required significant coordination.

Temi disclosed that their initial intention was to have a simple court wedding in Nigeria. However, they soon realised that achieving the level of privacy they desired would be difficult, as such an event could easily attract public attention. This realisation prompted them to reconsider their plans.

The couple also considered inviting court officials to conduct the civil ceremony privately in their home. While Temi was comfortable with the idea, Mr Eazi expressed reservations, leading to further discussions and a search for alternative options. Another proposal was to hold the court wedding in the United Kingdom, but Temi felt the location did not carry a strong personal connection for her.

After weighing their options, the couple eventually settled on Monaco for their civil wedding, a choice Temi said felt more meaningful and suitable for them. She also admitted that her initial perception of marriage as a simple decision followed by paperwork was quickly dispelled, as she encountered extensive administrative requirements and coordination.

In addition to the civil ceremony, Temi and Mr Eazi also held a private wedding at the Hallgrimskirkja Church in Reykjavik, Iceland. Reflecting on the experience, Temi noted that hosting multiple weddings within such a short timeframe was intense, adding that concerns over privacy and the unexpected volume of administrative work significantly influenced their final decisions.
