In a swift move following his inauguration, Okpebholo had nominated Ikhilor and Osagie, with the Edo State House of Assembly promptly screening and confirming Osagie’s appointment within 24 hours.

At the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Okpebholo urged his new appointees to work diligently, emphasizing his commitment to prioritizing the needs of Edo’s citizens. He remarked, “I was elected to work, and I expect everyone to be ready to contribute. These appointees were carefully chosen for their integrity and dedication.”

SSG Ikhilor pledged to support the Governor in implementing his campaign promises and driving positive change across the state. Meanwhile, Attorney-General Osagie expressed his commitment to upholding the rights of Edo citizens and advancing the Governor’s agenda for justice and development.
