Governor Radda Distributes Key Education Resources Across Katsina Schools

Computer Science, and English Language for Basic 4-6 pupils, 18 buses for project coordination, and special needs equipment for the School for the Blind.

As part of the state’s infrastructure development, Radda also announced a ₦4.737 billion allocation for 150 primary schools facing infrastructure deficits. These funds will be used to build classroom blocks, toilet facilities, and water infrastructure to improve learning environments across the state.

In addition, the governor distributed 70 motorcycles to quality assurance officers in all 34 local government areas to enhance monitoring and evaluation. He also highlighted security improvements with CCTV cameras in schools, as well as provided school bags, uniforms, and exercise books to underprivileged students.

Radda emphasized the importance of community involvement and school-based management in maintaining these initiatives. He also reaffirmed his commitment to improving teachers’ welfare with a new reward system and announced reforms to prevent arbitrary teacher transfers, ensuring they are based on genuine needs.

The State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Zainab Musawa, praised the governor’s leadership in driving education reforms, while State Project Coordinator Binta Abdulmumin highlighted the project’s strategic vision to address challenges in the education sector.
