Speaking in an interview with ireporteronline  Baruwa refuted claims that the Federal Government was involved in the ongoing NURTW crisis but mentioned rumors circulating about a government official’s support for MC Oluomo’s continued hold on the position.

Baruwa said, “I’m not aware of any direct government involvement, though rumors suggest a top government official has been telling MC Oluomo not to leave his office, implying no consequences for him. But that’s just a rumor, as I have not heard it from the official directly. We all know how rumors spread in our union.”

When questioned about his lack of reinstatement despite the court ruling, Baruwa explained, “The law is a process, and we must adhere to due process. The court’s judgment doesn’t automatically place me back in office. We are following the necessary steps to ensure I’m reinstated as president, and MC Oluomo cannot ignore the law.”

Baruwa also dismissed concerns that MC Oluomo’s ties to President Bola Tinubu could affect his return to the NURTW presidency. He said, “I’m a proud son of President Bola Tinubu and a member of the APC. Everyone in Nigeria, including MC Oluomo, is now a part of Tinubu’s family.”
