Despite being neglected by his father for most of his life, the son insisted on sending his entire first paycheck to his father, who still resides in Nigeria. The mother revealed that his father only reappeared in their lives when he needed to grant permission for the boy to travel abroad.

In her TikTok post, she expressed her mixed emotions regarding her son’s decision, noting that he wanted to support his father, who he said was struggling to afford food.

“My son told me to send his first salary to his father in Nigeria, who abandoned him as a baby,” she recounted. “He said his father doesn’t have money to eat. I was surprised, considering all the sacrifices I made for him.”

The mother, who raised her son single-handedly, described the challenges she faced, including paying for his education and ensuring his well-being. She expressed her disappointment that, instead of recognizing her dedication, her son’s first thought was to assist his absentee father.

“His father stopped taking care of him when he was three years old. I trained him through primary and secondary school. But when he got his first job, he didn’t think of me. He didn’t even suggest that I take some money to buy him a treat,” she lamented.
