According to Ireporter Online, the Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, has accused Nigerian content creator and singer, Nasboi, of circulating a misleading video allegedly designed to instill fear among Nigerians.

The controversy followed a post shared by Nasboi on his X handle, where he uploaded footage showing armed men riding motorcycles and carrying out a raid in a dusty rural area. The video was captioned “PRESIDENT @officialABAT,” a move that quickly drew public attention and criticism.

Reacting to the post, Olusegun stated that the video was originally taken from a page that identified the armed men as terrorists operating in the Republic of Benin, insisting that it had no connection to Nigeria. He argued that presenting the footage in a Nigerian context was misleading and capable of causing unnecessary panic among citizens.

While acknowledging the country’s ongoing security challenges, the presidential aide faulted Nasboi for allegedly using his wide online influence to spread fear through what he described as false content. He further condemned the action as irresponsible and urged the entertainer to exercise greater caution in his online posts.

Olusegun also added that the video had been misrepresented, stressing that public figures must avoid sharing unverified content that could escalate anxiety within the public space.
