Hope Restored! Katsina Government Comes To Rescue Of Road Accident Victims
Katsina Government Takes Full Responsibility for Medical Bills of Victims in Radda’s Convoy Accident
The Katsina State Government has announced that it will fully cover the medical expenses of nine individuals injured in a recent car accident involving the state governor, Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda.
According to iReporter Online, the incident occurred on Sunday evening, July 20, 2025, along the Katsina-Daura road near the School of Health Technology in Daura, the governor was reportedly returning from Daura, where he had been receiving dignitaries who came to pay condolences over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
In an official statement released by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Dr. Bala Salisu Zango, it was confirmed that a private Golf Volkswagen vehicle collided with the vehicle in the governor’s convoy, while there were no fatalities, two of the passengers sustained simple fractures, and seven others suffered varying degrees of injuries and bruises.
According to iReporter Online, all the injured victims are currently receiving medical care at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Daura. The Katsina State Government has pledged to cover all related medical costs for the victims.
Zango stated, “The Katsina State Government, under the leadership of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON, is committed to settling all medical bills and related expenses incurred by the nine victims of the accident.”
A government delegation led by Commissioner Zango visited the victims at FMC Daura to assess their condition and offer the government’s assurances, the commissioner reported that the victims were responding well to treatment and expressed gratitude for the prompt intervention by the state.
According to iReporter Online, the victims and their families were deeply appreciative of the concern and support shown by the Katsina State Government. The government reiterated its dedication to the welfare of all citizens, especially during times of crisis.
