The Acting National Chairperson of the Labour Party, Senator Nenadi Usman, has dismissed claims by Julius Abure questioning her membership in the party.

Speaking during an interview with Arise News on Thursday, the former Senator representing Kaduna South described Abure’s accusation as baseless and untrue. She firmly stated that she is a bona fide, card-carrying member of the Labour Party.

Displaying her membership card, she affirmed:

“I am a registered member of the Labour Party. I hail from Jere South Ward, Kagarko Local Government Area, Kaduna State. My polling unit is Fada.”

Usman reiterated her dedication to the party’s core ideals and called for unity among members.

“I remain committed to the principles and vision of the Labour Party. It is vital we focus on unity and building a party that reflects the hopes and aspirations of Nigerians.”

She also issued a stern warning to Julius Abure, urging him to stop parading himself as the party’s national chairman. This followed the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) denial of any official recognition of Abure as chairman.

According to Usman, the claim of INEC’s endorsement was fabricated and sponsored by Abure, who she said has no legal authority to lead the party.
