I Would Have Won Presidential Primary If …….- Wike Makes Huge Revelation

Wike

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has stated that his demand remains that the northern region relinquish the position of Peoples Democratic Party national chairman to the south in order to achieve long-term peace in the party.

The governor went on to say that he had no beef with the PDP’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Wike made this known on Tuesday, when his political associates and Rivers State elders, led by the chairman of the Rivers Elders Council, Chief Ferdinand Alabraba, paid him a birthday visit at his private residence in Rumueprikom.

He explained that Rivers elders urged him to run for President of Nigeria exactly a year ago, and that he heeded the advice and nearly won the PDP presidential ticket but for the manipulation of the process by the party itself.

In his words: “I don’t regret I ran for the presidency. In the name of God, I am happy to make Rivers State proud. I am happy as far as I am concerned. If they had allowed it to be what it is supposed to be, I would have won the election. But it’s okay. It has happened.

“People said because I lost the election, it doesn’t matter. I didn’t lose the election. This is my first time trying to run for the president of Nigeria and we made an impact. If it is easy let them go ahead. Are they not the ones begging?

“I have no problem with a presidential candidate. All I am saying is what is the interest of Rivers people? What is the interest of the South-South, and the South?”
