Nollywood actor and filmmaker Daniel Etim-Effiong has generated widespread reactions online after sharing his perspective on how married couples should deal with infidelity in relationships.

According to media reports, the actor made the remarks during a conversation with media personality Ifedayo Agoro, where he addressed the sensitive issue of cheating in marriage and the emotional response that often follows.

Speaking during the interview, Daniel stated that a partner caught in an act of infidelity should not immediately be met with condemnation or anger alone. He stressed that such situations should first be approached with empathy and a desire to understand the root cause of the behaviour.

The actor explained that cheating could sometimes be a sign that an individual is dealing with personal struggles or unresolved issues, adding that healing within a marriage can only begin when both partners are willing to calmly confront the problem together.

In his words, the first reaction to a cheating spouse should come from a place of asking how support can be offered to help resolve the underlying problem and restore the relationship.

Daniel Etim-Effiong is widely recognised for his roles in productions such as Plan B, Blood Sisters, Castle & Castle and The Men’s Club.

Before venturing into acting, he studied Chemical Engineering at Federal University of Technology Minna. He is married to media personality Toyosi Etim-Effiong, and they have three children together.
