IK Osakioduwa Reveals Why He Refuses To Work With Alcohol And Tobacco Brands

According to reports, TV personality IK Osakioduwa has disclosed that he deliberately declines endorsement deals from alcohol and tobacco brands, citing his faith and personal principles as guiding factors. In a recent interview on WithChude, Osakioduwa explained that his relationship with God shapes how he presents himself as a family-friendly public figure.

He stated, “How I choose to portray myself in the public space as a family-friendly brand, all of that comes from my relationship with God. When you come closer to how we do business, you will find that we are never going to take money over principle.”

Osakioduwa acknowledged that this stance has cost him substantial financial opportunities, as such brands typically offer lucrative deals. “Those choices are deliberate. We have lost a lot of money to it. That is where the money is. I am not judging anybody who does,” he said. He further emphasized that his decision is personal, noting that it is not a sin to collaborate with these companies. “After all, Jesus turned water into wine. But I believe it’s a position God wanted me to take early in my career,” he added.

Reflecting on his career, Osakioduwa recalled that one of his first major opportunities, which promised a significant payout, was an alcohol endorsement. Nevertheless, he maintained that staying true to his values has been more important than monetary gain. “I have learned to see money come and go and not do things just for money. That’s why I think my life has been on a straight path all this time,” he concluded.
