INEC Releases Final List Of 2027 Presidential Candidates — Full List

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final list of presidential candidates and their running mates for the January 2027 general elections.

According to Ireporter Online, the ‘Shake Body’ crooner issued the warning in a post on X, urging fellow artistes and their fans to stop encouraging division and hostility.

Skales stressed that love and mutual respect should take precedence over rivalry, noting that the consequences of constantly fueling disputes could be severe.

“One day all this beef that y’all are promoting will cause the loss of lives in this Nigerian music industry… pls y’all better stop before it’s too late… love is cheaper than hate so is respect,” he wrote.

The singer also reflected on his own experiences in the entertainment industry, revealing that he had faced betrayal and attempts to undermine his career by people he believed were on his side.

According to Skales, some individuals he regarded as teammates allegedly turned against him, spread false stories and accused him of jealousy after they gained greater attention.

“In this industry I was betrayed, lied upon, called a jealous person. People that I thought we were on the same team told many lies about me because they got the spotlight and sold different agendas pushed to downplay my greatness,” he said.

Despite the challenges, Skales expressed gratitude for remaining relevant after two decades in the music industry.

He said his continued presence and success were evidence of God’s mercy, while also appreciating his mother for teaching him the importance of prayer.

“But this is 2 decades in and the boy is still shining and more relevant than ever…. No better help than God’s mercy…. God bless my mom for teaching me how to pray,” he added.

Skales’ comments come amid recurring public disagreements and rivalries involving artistes and personalities within Nigeria’s entertainment industry, with the singer calling for greater restraint, respect and unity among stakeholders.
