Woman Cries Out After Allegedly Sending N1.64m To Pastor Jerry Eze’s Church By Mistake

Nigerian woman identified as Sandra Okpara has appealed for help after allegedly making an erroneous bank transfer of N1,640,200 to Streams of Joy International, the church associated with Pastor Jerry Eze.

According to Ireporter Online, Okpara made the appeal in an emotional video in which she explained that she is a single mother of two and a believer who regularly participates in religious activities.

She said she had attended her religious service earlier that day, taken communion and made a transfer as an offering.

Okpara explained that about two or three hours later, she intended to transfer money to her Zenith Bank account to purchase a voucher but mistakenly sent N1,640,200 instead.

According to her, the money does not belong to her and was intended for other people, who had already begun contacting her regarding the funds.

In the video, Okpara appealed to anyone who knows someone working at Streams of Joy International to assist her in recovering the money.

“My name is Sandra Okpara. I am a single mom of two and I believe in God and I’ve always been praying for God on NSPPD,” she said.

She explained that after making the earlier offering transfer, she later attempted to send money to her own Zenith Bank account but realised that she had mistakenly transferred the much larger amount.

“I’m doing this video because I cannot lie. If you know anyone that works at Streams of Joy International… That money is not for me, it’s for people and those people are calling me out,” she added.

Okpara’s account has sparked concern online as she continues to seek assistance in recovering the N1.64 million, which she says was transferred to the church in error.
