The expression “Food Is Ready” is frequently linked to the names of numerous restaurants  we frequently encounter during our formative years. It signifies that the moment you walk in, a delicious meal is already prepared and waiting for you to enjoy.

In this context, individuals have already cooked the food that you see on display. Therefore, Ayiri’s perspective prompts the question of who should rightfully enjoy the prepared meal.

With Ayiri’s characteristic streetwise flair, he evokes the sentiments found in the song “Know Me When I Am Poor” by Nkem Owoh. The song essentially conveys the message that if people did not identify with you when you were in need, they shouldn’t claim relationship now that you have achieved success.

Ayiri humorously points out the tendency for people to claim a familial relationship with those in positions of power. He cites the example of referring to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as “my mama’s brother” or claiming to reside together at Bourdillon. He added that other party members—including those from the LP and PDP—are also visiting the villa in an attempt to establish relationships.
