It Wasn’t The Nail That Held Him To The Cross. It Was His Love For Us- Hon Ogbeide Ihama Sends Awesome Easter Message Across

In the midst of several Easter messages that exchanged this season, I saw one with the above statement, and it ministered the message of Easter in a new way to me.

Christ SACRIFICED himself for us, because of LOVE.

A spirit of Sacrifice and Love; two virtues we so desperately need in our lives at this time as a nation.

If Love as The Lord showed us filled our hearts, we would all be willing to make the necessary sacrifices to create a better society for ourselves, families and neighbours.

Sacrifice and Love in our hearts would put a responsibility to keep our dear country Nigeria in prayers, that the love God has for our nation will continue to see us through our challenges, and give those in government the sincerity, will and wisdom to do the right thing for our people.

A spirit of Sacrifice and love would make us remember our brave servicemen who cannot celebrate the season with their loved ones due to their engagement in several missions to keep us safe; those who are sick in the hospitals and require a touch from God; those who are homeless and have no one to celebrate with them; those who are unjustly locked up in prisons across our country and the front-line health workers standing as a wall between our people and a pandemic that has caused so much pain. Let us say a prayer for them all, that they find safety, strength and joy, and that the love and comfort Easter brings will be extended to them.

As we celebrate, let us remember that through the resurrection from of our Lord Jesus Christ, Love and Sacrifice triumphed over darkness and death.
