In a viral video, the man claimed that before the accident, the late actor declined to rent a life jacket, citing financial constraints. He further alleged that Jnr Pope and some others aboard the boat refused to perform river appeasement rituals, asserting their belief as “children of God.”
According to him, his ability to swim enabled his survival, and he managed to rescue a woman from the sinking boat.
