JUST IN: EFCC Invites Ex-Governor (Details)
A Former Governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson was on Tuesday grilled by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Dickson, who visited the EFCC headquarters in Jabi, Abuja was invited by the agency to make clarifications on allegations bordering on abuse of office and misappropriation of public funds during his eight-year rule of Bayelsa State between 2012 and 2020.
He arrived the anti-graft commission’s office around 11 am and is still with them as at the time of filing this report. POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that his he is being grilled on matters associated to assets declaration and misapplication of intervention funds and other assets belonging to the Bayelsa state government.

His invitation has been confirmed by EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren.
The source recalls that Dickson’s invitation is coming amidst a crisis rocking his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. On Monday, Dickson made headlines for standing in Solidarity with embattled national chairman of the party, Uche Secondus.
