JUST IN: PDP Reacts To Benue Governorship Tribunal Judgment

The Benue State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed its rejection of the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal’s verdict, which affirmed the election of Governor Hyacinth Alia of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The party stated that it intends to pursue legal recourse at the Court of Appeal.

In a statement released on Saturday by its state Publicity Secretary, Bemgba Iortyom, the PDP pointed out that upon review with its team of legal experts, it was evident that the judgment did not adhere to the principles of substantive justice.

Furthermore, the party contended that the decision was not in accordance with current electoral laws, guidelines, and regulations.
