This decision follows a meeting involving the management, representatives from the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), and faculty presidents.

The student leaders advocated for a rollback in tuition and housing charges, as well as the reinstatement of the student union within the university.

While agreeing to an immediate reduction in both school and accommodation fees, the university authorities pledged to initiate efforts towards reinstating the student union on campus.
