Juventus Eye €120M Osimhen Transfer After Nigerian Striker Smashes Galatasaray Record
Italian giants Juventus are reportedly preparing a major summer move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, with the Turin-based club reportedly ready to offer around €120 million. According to football analysts, Juventus have long admired Osimhen, having attempted to sign him before his transfer to Galatasaray two years ago, a deal that ultimately did not materialize.
The Serie A side is currently undergoing what many fans describe as a disappointing campaign, prompting club management to plan a significant rebuild aimed at reclaiming domestic dominance. Osimhen recently fueled speculation over his potential return to Italy by praising Juventus as one of football’s most historic clubs, suggesting that the club would be a place where he could thrive and feel at home.
Any prospective deal, however, would come at a substantial cost. Galatasaray reportedly value the 27-year-old forward at approximately €150 million, reflecting both his contributions in Turkey and his established record from his time in Italy. Osimhen spent four successful seasons in Serie A, helping Napoli secure the Scudetto before moving to the Turkish Super Lig in search of a new challenge.
While transfer rumors circulate, Osimhen continues to shine on the field. On Wednesday at the Juventus Stadium, he scored Galatasaray’s opening goal in a 3-2 defeat, bringing his European tally for the club to 13—making him the highest-scoring foreign player in the club’s history in continental competitions. In achieving this, he surpassed the previous record of 12 set by former Czech striker Milan Baros.
This season, Osimhen has already registered seven goals and two assists in the Champions League, placing him joint fourth in the competition’s scoring charts alongside Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, underlining his status among Europe’s top forwards.
