Legal practitioner and Labour Party member, Kenneth Okonkwo, has voiced strong criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, particularly targeting what he views as unnecessary and excessive expenditures. Excessive Number of Ministers

Okonkwo questioned the need for 48 ministers when the constitution mandates only 37. He implied that the expansion of the cabinet is an example of wasteful spending that the country can ill afford, especially during a time of economic hardship for many Nigerians.

High Expenditure on Vice President’s Residence

The legal practitioner was particularly critical of the reported N21 billion spent on the Vice President’s house. Okonkwo described this expense as extravagant and unnecessary, especially when compared to the financial struggles faced by ordinary citizens.
