Lady Rejects Men Who Earn Same Salary As Her, Sparks Debate

According to Ireporter Online, a Nigerian lady has stirred mixed reactions on social media after stating that she cannot consider marrying a man who earns a similar salary to hers, particularly a 9-to-5 worker earning around ₦200,000 monthly amid the current economic situation.

The lady made the remarks in a viral video circulating online, where she explained that although she is also engaged in a 9-to-5 job, she would not be comfortable dating a man within the same income bracket as herself.

She maintained that in her view, a man in a relationship should earn significantly more than his partner, insisting that income parity could affect respect and dynamics within the union.

According to her, “I can’t marry a guy doing 9-5 job earning 200K, in this economy. I’m also a 9-5er but I can’t date somebody with my same income bracket.
