Breaking: Victor Osimhen Set To Miss Galatasaray Final Through Suspension
According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will miss Galatasaray S.K.’s final match of the season against Kasımpaşa after accumulating a suspension in Saturday’s 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor.
The forward received his fifth booking of the campaign during the match, which automatically rules him out of next weekend’s Istanbul derby at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium.
Despite the setback, Osimhen played a decisive role in securing the league title, netting twice as Galatasaray clinched their fourth consecutive Turkish Süper Lig crown. The Nigerian star has now won two league titles since joining the Yellow and Reds.
Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk is expected to look for alternative attacking options as the team prepares to conclude the season without their key forward.
In a post-match Instagram livestream, Osimhen paid emotional tribute to former Galatasaray figures, including ex-captain Fernando Muslera and former midfielder Felipe Melo, describing them as club legends and expressing appreciation for their influence and support during his time at the club. He also hinted at strong unity within the squad and affection for the club’s history.
Looking ahead, Osimhen sent a bold message to rival clubs, including Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor, insisting Galatasaray remain dominant and determined to continue their success in the coming season, while reinforcing his confidence in the team’s ability to maintain their winning momentum.
