Lagos State Launches E-Registration For 2025 UBE Test, Adds Yoruba Language

In a circular issued on Monday, January 27, 2025, and signed by Mr. Orunsolu Adebayo, Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, the registration period will run from January 27 to April 18, 2025.

The circular stated, “Only primary six pupils from public and approved private primary schools in Lagos State are eligible to participate in the UBE by CAS and Placement Test. Registration is free for pupils in public primary schools, while those in approved private schools are required to pay a fee of N5,000 per candidate via the Lagos State Central Billing System.”

The government also announced the inclusion of Yoruba Language as one of the subjects for the Placement Test, aimed at evaluating the knowledge and critical thinking skills of participants.

Mr. Adebayo assured parents and stakeholders that the registration process would be smooth and efficient, adding that no child would be left out during the exercise.
