Laide Bakare And Eniola Badmus Engage In Heated Exchange At Movie Premiere
Nollywood stars Laide Bakare and Eniola Badmus sparked controversy online following a heated confrontation at the premiere of the film Owambe Thieves, held on Sunday at Circle Mall, Lekki, Lagos.…READ MORE…
A widely circulated video from the event captured the moment Bakare and Badmus engaged in a verbal altercation. During the exchange, Bakare questioned Badmus’s mental state, prompting a stern glare from Badmus before she walked away.
A man believed to be Badmus’s bodyguard attempted to defuse the situation, but Bakare remained defiant, challenging his intervention.
Following the incident, Bakare took to Instagram on Monday to share screenshots of private messages exchanged between her and Badmus. In the messages, Badmus expressed displeasure over Bakare allegedly posting an unflattering photo of her online, describing the act as “animalistic behaviour.”
In her response, Bakare accused Badmus of being ungrateful, claiming she had given Badmus her first major acting opportunity at a time when others allegedly refused to work with her due to her size.
The clash has since generated mixed reactions from fans and industry observers on social media.
