It promises to be a night to remember, as leading vintage Nigerian Comedians -Edo Pickin and MC Casino leads other top-notch Nigerian comedians to a unique and special comedy show tagged Comedy Club Special with Lancelot D’ Guv’nor, which will hold in Benin at the urban music hive and entertainment centre -Rehab on Friday the 4th of June,2021 at 6 pm.

The Specially packaged show is in commemoration of the 50th Birthday Celebrations of the Multi-Award Winning Movie Director -Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen -D’Guvnor.

Earlier in the Week, as part of giving back to the Society, D’Guv’nor as Lancelot is popularly called, held a Special Film Directing Master Class organized free from any charges for the participants. After that, the grand finale of the Film Challenge was also organized and a Young Participant from Delta State took the top position.

The Month-long 50th Birthday Celebrations of Lancelot include a Colloquium in his honour, at the Prestigious Igbinedion University,Okada,the Season of Words organized by the Benin Poetry Club, a Brainchild of Lancelot Imasuen, which will co-incidence with Nigeria’s First Online Anthology for Lancelot- 50 Poems in Honour of Lancelot at 50 compiled by the Benin Writers’ Society,a Brainchild of a Benin Based Lawyer and Writer -Douglas Ogbankwa Esq.

There shall be a visit to charitable organizations and the ceremonies will come to a fever pitch with two special Birthday Parties in Abuja and Benin.

The frenzy and furore synonymous with the Celebrations is attributable to the person and character of Lancelot, which finds expression in his unique features of competence, charisma, humility, being a stickler for details, with his goal-getting disposition, perseverance, firmness and fairness and many other attributes of the film icon and enigma, too numerous to mention.
