The Kehinde Oshilaja Foundation for People Living with Disabilities has distributed walking canes and other mobility aids to beneficiaries in Lagos as part of its outreach programme.

The initiative, which coincided with the Eid-el-Maulud celebration, was designed to ease the difficulties faced by persons with disabilities who often struggle to access essential aids due to rising costs.

Convener of the foundation, Kehinde Oshilaja, lamented the high prices of disability equipment and urged the government to introduce subsidies or supportive policies to make such items more affordable.

Guests at the event commended the gesture, describing it as both timely and impactful. The Chief Imam of Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Lagos Mainland, Abolanle Tajudeen, noted that assisting the vulnerable is a divine obligation, while Senior Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Irorun, Ebute Meta, Gbenga Adelusi, encouraged other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the foundation’s efforts.
