Major General Abdullahi Orders Gate Closures And Warns Soldiers’ Families Against #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria, No Protests Allowed From August 1

Major General MA Abdullahi, Commandant of the Nigerian Army Depot in Zaria, Kaduna State, has issued a stern warning to soldiers and their families regarding the upcoming nationwide protest, #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria.

Sources at the training facility revealed that Abdullahi has instructed personnel to ensure their family members do not participate in the protest. Additionally, he has ordered the closure of all entrance gates to the facility from August 1 to August 10, effectively barring entry and exit during this period.

The protest, scheduled to start on August 1, aims to address issues of inflation, governance, and economic hardship affecting Nigerians, including military personnel who have expressed their grievances about the state of their financial conditions under the current and past administrations.

The order has led to concerns among soldiers and their families about their restricted freedom and the implications for those with essential civilian roles.
