Man Arrested With Stolen Car During Eid el-Fitr Celebration In Yola
During the Eid el-Fitr celebration in Yola, Adamawa State, a man has been apprehended for allegedly stealing a car on Wednesday morning. Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command intercepted Ali with the stolen vehicle, a Toyota Starlet bearing a Jimeta (Yola North LGA) registration number JMT 317 RY.
According to a statement by the state police public relations officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the arrest was made earlier in the day by police operatives attached to the Ngurore Divisional Police Headquarters during routine stop-and-search operations.
The incident has sparked concern amidst the Eid celebrations, highlighting the importance of vigilance and security measures during festive periods. Further investigations are underway to ascertain the full details surrounding the theft and apprehension of the suspect.
