Ministry of Regional Development Hands Over Massive Relief Materials to Akwa Ibom State Government(Video)

The Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh FNSE , has delivered substantial relief materials to the government of Akwa Ibom State to support flood victims and vulnerable residents.

Accompanied by the Chairman of the House Committee on Regional Development, Hon. Eugene Okechikwu Dibia Agu, and Senator Ita Enang, the minister went straight to the distribution site upon arrival. They were warmly received by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prince Enobong Uwah, who represented the Akwa Ibom State Governor.

The relief materials included truckloads of essential food items such as rice, beans, spaghetti, and noodles, as well as empowerment tools like kitchen utensils, motorcycles, cooking stoves, and sewing machines.

Speaking at the event, Engr. Momoh emphasized that the initiative was a directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aimed at alleviating the challenges faced by flood victims and providing immediate support to the vulnerable.

Prince Enobong Uwah, while receiving the materials, commended the federal government and the minister for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful.

In a symbolic handover ceremony, some victims and vulnerable individuals received the relief items, marking a significant step in supporting communities affected by flooding.

This intervention underscores the federal government’s commitment to ensuring no citizen is left behind in times of adversity.
