The revelation comes amid the recent arrest of Jasmine and Mr Ibu’s son, Daniel Onyeabuchi, for allegedly defrauding the actor of N55 million.

Speaking to reporters about the allegations, Jasmine shared the story of her connection with Mr Ibu, emphasizing his role as a father figure in her life after her biological father’s passing. She revealed that her late father, a Nigerian army officer, was a close friend of Mr Ibu.

Jasmine narrated how, after her father’s death, Mr Ibu stepped into a paternal role for her. She moved abroad in 2018 to pursue her studies in law, staying in Cyprus.

The shocking twist in the story unfolded in 2020 when Mr Ibu allegedly began seeking financial assistance from Jasmine due to his deteriorating health. She expressed surprise at the actor’s request, considering his successful career at the time of her departure.
